After twenty years without them, the iconic blue corduroy jackets have made their return to Big Horn High School in Ranchester - and the excitement is contagious.

At the September chapter meeting, students proudly brought in their new FFA jackets to be recognized. For ten of those students, the moment was even more meaningful. Thanks to a generous donation from the Wyoming FFA Foundation, the chapter was able to purchase ten jackets, ensuring that every member who wanted to participate in official dress could do so without facing a financial barrier.

“This donation means a lot to our students,” shared Lauren Bigler, Big Horn FFA advisor. “Having these jackets helps them truly feel part of something bigger — it builds pride, unity, and belonging.”
The new jackets symbolize more than tradition. They represent a fresh start for a growing program that’s already busy building new memories. This fall, Big Horn FFA launched an annual FFA Kickoff to celebrate the start of the year and is gearing up for a fruit and cookie dough sale running from October 6 - 16 to raise funds for future activities.
For Big Horn FFA, this year marks the beginning of new traditions, new opportunities, and renewed pride in wearing the blue and gold. Check out @bighornffa_wy on Instagram to see what they are up to!
