Whitcomb FFA at Moorcroft Secondary School in northeastern Wyoming recently hosted an event that brought members together for an evening of connection, leadership, and fun.

The chapter transformed its welding shop into a drive-in style movie theater, creating a unique setting for members to gather and enjoy time together while watching "Hocus Pocus."

Before the movie began, the chapter took time to conduct important chapter business. Members came together to review and pass their chapter bylaws, which were created by the officer team during their officer retreat. Approving the bylaws as a full chapter allowed members to participate in shaping the direction and expectations of their organization, reinforcing leadership and shared responsibility.

Once the bylaws were approved, the welding shop quickly shifted into movie night mode. Three pickup trucks were parked inside the shop, and students settled in with friends, bringing blankets, pillows, snacks, and drinks to get comfortable. Advisor Hugh Jenkins made the evening even more special by bringing a popcorn machine, offering fresh popcorn for members to enjoy all night long.

People watch a movie projected on a screen in a garage, sitting on cars and chairs. The setting is cozy with dim lighting.

That night, the camaraderie reached beyond just the FFA chapter. The football team was already on campus for their end-of-year banquet, and had also planned to watch a movie. Rather than splitting up, Whitcomb FFA invited them to join the movie night in the shop. The players came over, piled in with everyone else, enjoying popcorn and the movie as well.

The drive-in setup made the night feel special, and students really enjoyed just being together. It was another great example of how Whitcomb FFA makes time for fun and connection.
