Why We’re Starting This Blog (and Why We Hope You’ll Read It)

If you’ve ever seen a young person in a blue corduroy jacket speak in front of a crowd for the first time, lead a younger member through a judging contest, or stay after school to finish an ag mechanics project, they don’t have to explain what FFA means. You just get it.
For those who haven’t had the chance to see that up close, we want to show you.
This blog is a new chapter for the Wyoming FFA Foundation, and one we’ve been excited to start. Each month, we’ll share stories, spotlights, and updates that give a clearer picture of the students we serve, the supporters who stand behind them, and the difference FFA makes across this state.

What You Can Expect
We’ll share what’s happening behind the scenes at Foundation events like the Blue Jeans Ball, Cowboy Cornhole Tournament, or chapter visits. We’ll highlight the stories of students stepping up; those who are growing not just crops or livestock, but leadership skills, work ethic, and pride in who they are.
We’ll also take time to celebrate our donors and sponsors. Without their support, a lot of what we do simply wouldn’t happen. From helping send students to leadership conferences to providing classroom grants, scholarships, and awards. These contributions make an immediate, meaningful difference.
And finally, we’ll feature voices from the community - alumni, ag teachers, parents, and maybe even a few employers who’ve hired FFA members and know the value they bring.
Why It Matters
We’re not just here to raise money. We’re here to tell the story of why this matters.
Agricultural education, and the leadership that comes with it, isn’t always flashy. But it’s powerful. It’s teaching young people how to show up on time, solve problems, speak with confidence, and care about something bigger than themselves.
It’s giving kids from every corner of Wyoming, from large towns to the smallest rural schools, a place to belong and the tools to succeed, no matter where they go next.
The Wyoming FFA Foundation exists to support that kind of growth. This blog is our way of sharing it with all of you.
An Invitation
If you’ve supported us before, thank you. If you’re new to what we do, I hope you’ll follow along. Subscribe to the blog, share it with your friends and neighbors, and if a post moves you, consider supporting our work.
And if you know of a student, chapter, or community partner doing something worth sharing, we want to hear about it. Some of the best stories haven’t been written yet.
Thanks for being here. We’re just getting started.
